Park the rig, and sleep in a house for once
A graveled strip behind a gate, running the length of the side of the house. It is the rarest thing on this listing: somewhere to put an RV that is not an RV park, attached to a three-bedroom house with a real kitchen and a bathtub.

What the parking actually is
A long compacted-gravel strip down the side of the house, behind a solid wooden gate, running from the front driveway back to a storage shed at the rear. Fenced on the far side, house wall on the near side. Level, and wide enough to be useful.
RV parking is named by the host in her own description of the property, alongside the mature landscaping and the secure fencing for pets. It is a real feature of the place rather than a maybe.
What is not published: a maximum RV length, a turning radius, whether there are hookups, and whether power or water is available out there. Airbnb does not state any of it, so neither will we. If you are arriving in anything substantial, send the host your length and height through Airbnb messaging before you book — a two-minute exchange beats discovering the gate is narrower than your rig.

Why anyone with an RV would want a house
Four reasons, all of them familiar to anyone who has spent a long stretch on the road.
A full-size shower and two proper bathrooms. After three weeks of conserving water this is not a small thing.
A kitchen with room to move. A remodeled one, with full-size appliances and a countertop you can put more than one thing on at a time — see it here.
A fenced garden. If a dog travels with you, this is the trip where it gets to be off the lead. That is covered on the pet-friendly page.
Somewhere for the family to spread out. Three bedrooms, sleeping six. If you have been touring in a rig with children in it, a week with doors is a different vacation.
And when you leave, the rig has been on a private gated driveway rather than in a public lot.
If you would rather camp than park
Worth knowing either way: Bottomless Lakes State Park is 15 miles southeast of Roswell and has a proper campground. Lea Lake has 32 campsites with hook-ups — 6 full hook-up and 26 with water and electric — an RV dump station, a group shelter and restrooms with showers. There are another 10 developed campsites in the Lower Lakes area with vault toilets.
So the honest framing is this: if you want to camp, camp at the lakes, and they are good. This house is the other thing — the week in the middle of a long trip where you stop camping, park the rig, and live in a house with a lawn.

This suits you if
- You are touring and want a week off the rig without leaving it somewhere public
- You are towing a trailer, a boat or a second vehicle and need somewhere to put it
- Your dog and your family both need more room than a rig gives them
- You want a real kitchen, real showers and a lawn for a few days
- You will confirm your dimensions with the host before you arrive
This is not for you if
- You need hookups for the rig. None is published here. Book a campground
- You are driving something very large and cannot confirm the space first. Measure, then ask
- You want to sleep in the RV rather than the house — this is a house booking
- You need a dump station on site
RV questions
How many people does Lana's Desert Haven sleep?
The house sleeps 6. There are 3 bedrooms, 3 beds and 2 full bathrooms, and the house rules set a firm limit of six guests. That is a real limit rather than a soft one, so if your group is seven you need a different house.
Is there parking for an RV?
Yes. There is RV parking on the property, on a graveled strip behind a gate along the side of the house, plus free parking on the premises and a wide concrete driveway at the front. The listing does not publish RV length limits or hookups, so ask before you arrive with a large rig.
Where exactly is the house?
In Roswell, New Mexico, in a quiet established residential neighborhood roughly fifteen minutes from downtown and the UFO Museum. Like most occupied short-term rentals, the exact address is shared with you after you book — that is standard practice and it protects whoever is staying there this week.
Do I need a car in Roswell?
Realistically, yes. Roswell has no meaningful public transport network, the house is a residential fifteen minutes from downtown, and the best things nearby — Bottomless Lakes, the wildlife refuge, Carlsbad Caverns — are all drives. If you are flying into Roswell Air Center, check car rental availability with the airport directly when you book your flight.
