Lana’sDesert HavenAvailability

Meet your host

A lifelong traveler, a former travel agent, a cruise specialist and a working realtor. Which is an unusual combination, and it happens to be exactly the right one for both halves of what this site does.

The living room: a vaulted ceiling with a fan, two large sofas and a recliner around a wooden coffee table, plantation shutters, and a red painted cabinet against a cream wall.

In her own words

“I’m Lana — a lifelong traveler, former travel agent, cruise specialist, and dedicated realtor. With years in hospitality, I know great stays come from care, comfort, and attention to detail. Excellence is my standard, and I prepare every space with pride so guests feel truly at home. Being second is never an option.”

Why that background matters here

It is worth spelling out, because it is genuinely the strongest thing this property has going for it and it is not obvious from a listing page.

A former travel agent has spent years answering the questions travelers actually ask before they commit — how far, how long, what does it cost, is it worth it, what will go wrong. That is precisely the job of the Roswell guides on this site, and it is why they are organized the way they are.

A cruise specialist has worked to hospitality standards where the guest cannot leave and everything has to be right the first time.

A working realtor knows what “a good neighborhood” actually means in a specific town, which is not a thing you can research from elsewhere.

A lifelong traveler has been the guest often enough to know which small things matter — hard floors when you have a dog, a second bathroom when you have six people, a desk with a door when you have a call.

Not one of the ten competing Roswell lodging pages we looked at while building this site carries a named author or any evidence that a real person wrote it. That asymmetry is the entire reason this site exists in the form it does.

The remodeled kitchen: cream shaker cabinetry, marble-look quartz countertops, a farmhouse sink under the window, stainless appliances and tile flooring.
The remodeled kitchen. Prepared by the person who owns the house, not by a management company.

What she does not claim, and what we will not add

No surname. Lana’s surname is not published on her Airbnb listing, so it is not published here. We are not going to invent one or borrow one from somewhere else to make the page look more complete. “Lana” is what you will see when you land on Airbnb, and consistency is worth more than the appearance of formality.

No Superhost badge, and no reviews yet. Airbnb flags her as a New Host who started hosting in 2026, and the listing has no guest reviews. Both are accurate. Her identity is verified with Airbnb, which is the one credential that does exist today.

No invented stories. There is a temptation on a page like this to write “we take our dogs down to the lakes most weekends”. It reads well. We have no way to know whether it is true, so it is not here. The one personal detail on this page beyond the bio is that she keeps three Shelties — and that is on the listing as her own published host highlight, which is also why the pet-friendly page takes the fenced garden seriously.

No professional licenses claimed for the property. Short-term rental permit requirements vary by New Mexico municipality and we have no documentation either way, so nothing is stated. See the editorial policy.

Getting in touch

Airbnb messaging on the listing reaches her directly, and it is the only route: every conversation about this house runs through it, whether the question is availability, the rate and the minimum stay for your window, or something that has nothing to do with dates at all.

That includes a correction to something published on this site. The contact page links straight to the listing.
